HADLEY, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's soccer team had two members recognized by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Wednesday morning as announced by the league office in its annual awards.

5th-year Mya Johnson (Old Lyme, Conn.) earns her third consecutive first-team honors, while junior Clare Mulvihill (West Caldwell, N.J.) earns recognition for the first time in her career.

Johnson appeared in 15 games while making 13 starts, to lead the Camels in scoring with 15 points on six goals and three assists. Johnson finishes her illustrious career with 80 points on 33 goals and 14 assists, to rank second all-time in goals and points and program history.

"All-Nescac First Team is a well-deserved award for Mya Johnson," said assistant coach Mia Hernandez. "I've watched Mya give her 110% every time she stepped on the field this season and every season of her career. She's hard-working, driven, and a force to be reckoned with. She will be missed both on and off the field."

Mulvihill started every game this season for the Camels, finishing third on the team in scoring. Mulvihill recorded nine points on four goals and one assist, to finish tied for second in goals. None of her goals were bigger than when Mulvihill scored late against No. 7 and previously unbeaten Williams, as Conn came away with a 2-0 win on October 7.

On Mulvihill, Hernandez added: "She doesn't stop. She's locked in at every practice, every film session, and in every game. Her voice of encouragement to her teammates, her fight, and her determination each and every day are why Mulvihill earned All-Nescac Second Team."

Conn College finished the season with an overall record of 9-6-1 (4-5-1 NESCAC). The Camels finished sixth in the NESCAC to make their fourth consecutive conference tournament appearance, falling to Bowdoin 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
