HADLEY, Mass. – Over 1,000 student-athletes–including 102 from Connecticut College–have been named to the 2023 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale at the end of the 2022-23 academic year. Transfers must have completed one year of study at an institution.
The 102 selections are the most by Conn College in the fall season in the 24-year history of the award. The Camels had representatives in all seven eligible sports: men's soccer (20), women's soccer (19), men's cross country (16), women's cross country (13), field hockey (20), women's volleyball (9) and men's water polo (5).
Founded in 1971, the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) consists of 11 liberal arts colleges and has consistently reflected its commitment to the values of athletics and academic achievement. The member colleges of the conference are Amherst College, Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colby College, Connecticut College, Hamilton College, Middlebury College, Trinity College, Tufts University, Wesleyan University, and Williams College.
