KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second second straight season, junior AJ Marcucci (West Chester, Pa.) of the Connecticut College men's soccer team has been recognized as the top goalkeeper in the nation at the NCAA Division III level by being the only player at his position to earn a place on the United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team. The announcement was made at the Pre-Championships banquet in Greensboro, N.C. on Thursday evening.

Marcucci finished the season by boasting an 0.58 goals against average to go along with an .859 save percentage and eight clean sheets. Through three seasons, the junior has a jaw-dropping 25 shutouts as well as an 0.50 goals against average to his credit.

Overall, the goalkeeper helped the Camel men's soccer program put together its best season in program history as well as one of the most successful runs ever by any Connecticut College team by becoming the fourth Camel squad to advance to the "Sweet 16" round of the NCAA Tournament as well as the third to make it as far as the "Elite 8" at NCAAs.

Connecticut College (13-4-3) graduates five seniors and is slated to return more than 25 letterwinners, including Marcucci, next season.
