This page is designed to answer questions you may have about our camps. Each camp has its own section, making finding the answers to your specific questions as easy as possible. After looking through the FAQs, if you still have any unanswered questions, please visit our Contact Us page.


Day Camps

Where is camp located?
At Connecticut College! Campers will play on the turf, on the fields up on campus, eat at our Harris Dining Hall, and swim in the pool at the athletic center!

What are camp hours?
Full Day Campers: 9am-4pm

Half-Day Campers: 9am-12pm

How much does the camp cost?
Camp costs $300 for a full day camper.

Camp costs $175 for a half day camper.

We are offering no early registration discounts due to the timing of the registration this year.

Do you offer any team/group/family discounts?
Yes, we offer three discounts.

*Note: these discounts cannot be combined.

1.Team Discount: groups of 8 or more will receive a discount of $25 per player. Please have a group representative contact the assistant direct with a list of player names in each group.

2.Sibling discount: after the first sibling is paid in full, each additional sibling will then receive a $10 discount.

3.Faculty/staff discount: family members of Connecticut College faculty/staff will receive a $25 discount.

What is the Day Camp's cancellation policy?
Full refunds, less a $75 handling fee, will be given prior to June 15.  After June 15, there will be no refunds of deposit or activation/fees paid.

What is the check-in process?
Camp check-in begins at 8:30 AM the first day of camp at the Dayton Arena Breezeway. Campers should have any missing paperwork with them when they come to check-in. Every other day of camp, campers should arrive at 9:00 AM. 

Are goalkeepers invited to the Day Camps?
Goalkeepers are certainly invited to attend.

Which ages are welcome to attend the Day Camps?
All boys and girls, ages 6-14 are invited to attend the Day Camps. Additionally, children who are younger than 6 but have completed kindergarten are also welcome to attend.

What should campers do for lunch?

In collaboration with Connecticut College, all our full-day campers will eat lunch at Harris Dining Hall (included in the camp cost). Staff will be there to assist campers and any dietary accommodations will be met. If there are any questions about this service, we are happy to answer. 

What should campers bring to camp each day?
Each day, campers should bring a labeled soccer ball, water bottle, shin guards, soccer cleats, sneakers, sunscreen, bathing suit, a towel, and a snack if desired.

Will I receive any gear for attending the Day Camp?
Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt.

Are parents invited to watch the sessions?
Parents are welcome to watch any and all sessions they would like.

What medical care will be available for campers?
A certified training staff will always be available for campers.

How do I register?
You must register online. Go to the camp page and click on the Registration button.

Where should campers be dropped off and picked up?
Campers should be dropped off and picked up at the Dayton Arena Breezeway located at the Connecticut College Athletic Center.

When are closing ceremonies?
Parents are encouraged to attend closing ceremonies, which are scheduled for 3:40 PM on the last day of camp. The camp will conclude at 4:00 PM.

Is any level of soccer playing experience required to attend the Day Camps?
Soccer players of all levels are invited to attend the Day Camps. No playing experience is required.

Can campers attend both weeks of Day Camp? Is there any difference between the two weeks?
There is no difference between the two weeks of Day Camps. Campers are more than welcome to attend both weeks!


Camel Elite Soccer Academy (Men's Recruiting Camp)

What if I need to fly to the camp?
We recommend flying into Providence (PVD), which is 45 minutes from New London. Another option is Hartford (BDL), which is an hour and 15 minutes away. CESA does not provide shuttle service to or from Connecticut College.

By when should I plan on arriving at Conn?
Campers should plan on being on campus for registration, which runs from 11:00am-12:00pm. If they should have any missing documents, be ready to hand in at registration. Missing paperwork could result in not being allowed to participate.

Will campers be able to purchase snacks and beverages?
Yes. There will be a camp store that will sell various snacks, water, and sports drinks. There will also be opportunities to order pizza in the evening.

What will the weather be like in New London during the camp?
During the month of July, New London's average high is 81 and its average low is 63. We recommend bringing sunscreen as well as rain gear, so campers are prepared for variable conditions.

How much money should I bring to CESA?
We recommend campers bring around $50 and no more than $100, in order to buy extra food and beverages.

What if I’m a goalkeeper?
Goalkeepers are absolutely invited to attend. There will be separate goalkeeping training sessions.

Who can attend CESA?
Rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who aspire to play soccer at the collegiate level.

What are the rooming arrangements?
Campers will be staying in dorms on the Connecticut College campus for the night of July 1st. The rooms will be doubles, and campers are allowed to request a roommate.

Where will I be eating meals?
Meals will be served in the Connecticut College dining halls. All meals are all-you-can-eat buffet style meals.

What should I bring to CESA?
Besides personal items, campers should bring sufficient clothes to train in, soccer cleats, indoor shoes, a ball, shin guards, running shoes, and sunscreen.

Will I receive any gear for attending CESA?
Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt.

Who is invited to watch the matches?
Matches are open to the public, so family members as well as college coaches are more than welcome to attend.

What medical care will be available for campers?
A full-time training staff will be constantly available for campers.

What exposure will I get to Connecticut College?
Campers will become familiar with the Connecticut College athletic facilities, dining hall, and dorms, as well as having the opportunity to interact with Conn College players. Campers are also encouraged to take a campus tour during their down time.

Is the camp strictly overnight, or are day campers allowed?
Day campers are not allowed. The camp is strictly overnight.

How do I register?
You must register online. Go to the camp page and click on the Registration button.

How much does the camp cost?
The camp costs $275 if you register before May 1st. Otherwise, the camp is $325.


Northeast 90 Soccer Camp

What if I need to fly to the camp?

We recommend flying into TF Green Airport (PVD), which is 45 minutes from New London. Another option is Hartford (BDL), which is an hour and 15 minutes away. Please contact the women's soccer office directly at 860.439.2661 if you plan on attending the camp and will be flying in to do so. 

By when should I plan on arriving at Conn?

Campers should plan on being on campus for registration, which runs from 1:00-2:00pm on the first day of camp. Your registration confirmation will let you know which dorm building registration will be held in. The players should have any missing documents with them, ready to hand in.

Will campers be able to purchase snacks and beverages?

Yes. There will be a camp store that will sell various snacks, water, and sports drinks. There will also be opportunities to order pizza in the evening.

A 10% discount will be given to groups of 10 or more players from the same team. Please call for details.

What exposure will I get to Connecticut College?

Campers will be immersed in everything that collegiate soccer at Connecticut College entails.  They will become familiar with the Connecticut College athletic facilities, dining hall, and dorms, as well as have the opportunity to interact with and be coached by the Conn College players. The campers will be exposed to and come to know the Conn coaching staff, including Head Coach Norm Riker, and guest coaches from various colleges in the northeast.  They will familiarize themselves with college coaching techniques and training, and will also get to meet and be coached by other college coaches that will be on staff.  Campers are also encouraged to take a campus tour during their time on campus.

Is the camp strictly overnight, or are day campers allowed?

Day campers are allowed. They will be provided with lunch and dinner. Day campers should arrive Saturday at 1pm and Sunday at 8:45AM and leave after the games are completed. If you plan on being a day camper or choose to not stay overnight in the dorms, there are hotel options in New London, Groton, and Mystic. The closest hotel is the Holiday Inn, located in New London, CT.

How much does the camp cost?

The camp costs $300.

Payment options?

We encourage credit cards as payment can be made during registration.  However, there is a small processing fee.
