HADLEY, Mass. – Connecticut College senior Christian Murphy (Newport News, Va.) has been named the NESCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. He is being recognized for the first time this season.

Murphy helped the Camels register three victories over NESCAC opponents this past week by factoring into all three game-winning goals. He scored two goals, including the eventual game-winning marker, in a 3-0 win at Trinity, set up the lone goal in the team's 1-0 victory at Hamilton, and assisted on the team's first goal just 35 seconds into the match in a 2-0 triumph over Colby. Murphy ended the week leading the NESCAC in scoring with 11 points on three goals and five assists.

Connecticut College (7-0, NESCAC 4-0), which was ranked 21st in the most recent national poll, returns to action to host Williams on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 2:30 p.m.
