KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Connecticut College senior men's soccer captain Ben Manoogian (Peabody, Mass.) has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Second Team, as announced by the national organization.

Manoogian is being recognized with an award for academic and athletic success for the second straight season, as he also made the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team last year. He has also been named to the All-NESCAC First Team and the United Soccer Coaches All-New England Region First Team twice.

On the field, Manoogian contributed five points and most notably two game-winning goals against NESCAC opponents this past fall. He finished his career with 17 goals, including eight game-winning markers, and nine helpers for 43 points. Furthermore, the midfielder's efforts have helped the Camels advance to the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history.

Connecticut College (13-3-2), which earned the right to host NCAA Tournament matches for the first time ever, completed arguably its best season in program history. Under the guidance of Kenny Murphy, who was named the NESCAC Coach of the Year, the Camels registered their highest wins total since 1978 and also won an NCAA postseason match for the first time.
