NEW LONDON, Conn. – Six members of the Connecticut College women's soccer team have earned Academic All-District® accolades as announced by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) on Tuesday afternoon.
Seniors Ella Davidyock (Newtown, Pa.), Sarah Hobbs (Montclair, N.J.), Ella Kahrl (Wellesley, Mass.), and Clare Mulvihill (West Caldwell, N.J.) and juniors Caroline Camp (New London, N.H.) and Alexa Weiner (Fairfield, Conn.) were among those honored. Mulvihill and Weiner were repeat selections, while the rest were awarded Academic All-District® Team honors for the first time.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be an Academic All-District® honoree, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore at their institution both academically and athletically, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, and have played at least 66 percent of their team's contests as a starter or 90 percent as a reserve.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
