Fifty-Three Student-Athletes Make NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team

HADLEY, Mass. – A total of 52 Connecticut College student-athletes were named to the 2020 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. The teams include the sports of cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, volleyball, and men's water polo.
 
Connecticut College's women's soccer team placed 15 student-athletes on the all-academic team, which was the highest number of selections among Camel programs. Volleyball (8), women's cross country (8), men's soccer (7), field hockey (6), men's cross country (5), and men's water polo (4) all had at least one athlete chosen.

Furthermore, five seniors were recognized with the achievement for the third time. They included men's cross country runner Finn Boed (The Hague, Netherlands), volleyball standout Elle Kass (Los Gatos, Calif.), women's soccer captain Tori Kretzmer (Glastonbury, Conn.), women's cross country runner Cece Orcutt (Acton, Mass.), and volleyball captain McKaela Simons (Redmond, Wash.), 
 
To be honored on the all-academic team, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.50. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.
